Revele Films · Accra, Ghana
Our Story
A Premier Ghanaian Film & Television Production Company — creating authentic quality original African content since 1999.
Two Decades of African Storytelling
In 1999, Emmanuel Apea Jr. changed Ghanaian television forever. With the Taxi Driver TV Series, he became the first producer in Ghana to take production out of the studio — shooting on location, casting authentic characters, and bringing real Ghanaian life to the screen. That single series ushered in what is widely regarded as the golden age of Ghanaian TV.
Together with Julia Apea, they built Revele Films into Ghana's most celebrated production company. Over two and a half decades, the company has produced more than 350 individual TV programmes and films — from household drama series to internationally recognised art films — earning awards on four continents.
Today, Revele Films continues to push boundaries with new productions, the Revele Creative Academy, and the Revele Collective — all driven by one mission: Authentic Quality Original African Content.

Leadership
The People Behind Revele
Two visionaries with a shared belief that African stories deserve to be told — beautifully, honestly, and to the world.

Creative Director
Emmanuel Apea Jr.
Multiple award-winning writer, director, and producer. Emmanuel pioneered "out of studio" TV production in Ghana with the iconic Taxi Driver series in 1999 — the first production in Ghana to feature in-show advertisement placements from major brands including Unilever, Guinness, and Fan Milk.
Under his creative leadership, Revele Films produced landmark series including Home Sweet Home, Hotel St James, and Run Baby Run — earning AMAA Awards, Pan African Film Festival recognition, and a Samsung Art Prize.

CEO & Executive Producer
Julia Apea
CEO and Executive Producer of Revele Films, Julia drives the company's strategy, business development, and creative partnerships. She is also the host and producer of Lifestyles with Julia — a 40-episode lifestyle television talk show that became a staple of Ghanaian TV.
Julia leads the expansion of the Revele brand into new territory — from the Revele Creative Academy training the next generation of African filmmakers, to building partnerships with international studios and broadcasters.
